Looking For Your Next Adventure?
Enjoy a fun and fulfilling 6-Month role in Hospitality or Construction, in the beautiful Channels Islands!
Hello & Welcome to GR8!
We can offer qualified and experienced Hospitality and Construction professionals an immediate start in fulfilling 6 month roles (which can be extended to 9 months in certain circumstances) with various high-quality hospitality and construction employers throughout the Channel Islands of Jersey and Guernsey.
Where Are We?
The Channel Islands are part of the United Kingdom and can be found a short distance from the French coast. They are an English-speaking cluster of Islands offering incredible Hospitality venues for an unforgettable working experience and opportunities in the construction industry with great rates of pay and onsite experience.
For more information on Jersey and Guernsey, our largest Islands, please visit the links https://www.jersey.com/ and https://www.visitguernsey.com/
What To Expect?
When in Jersey, you will need to register as a resident at a cost of £80 which can be done online. You will also need to pay Social Security at 6.5% and Income Tax, as all residents do.
Income Tax is likely to be minimal and will be calculated once you arrive. Your employer can assist with acting on your behalf to liaise with the Tax Office if required.
Your salary will be dependent on the employer and the role you are offered and will be in line with the going rate in Jersey. This will be paid either weekly or monthly and your accommodation costs will be deducted from this by your employer.
Again, the accommodation rates will depend upon the employer and the accommodation offered. All details will be discussed with you at the outset.

What Do We Need From You?
To be considered for a 6-month role in the Channel Islands, you must be able to provide the following:
- An up-to-date Resume
- Police clearance from any countries that you’ve worked in for 12 months or more (NOTE: This Police clearance must be not older than 6 months)
- 2 x Letters of Recommendation (one of which must be from your most recent employer)
- Any relevant educational / training certificates
- Copy of a valid passport (which must have at least 2 years before expiry)
PLEASE NOTE: If the documents do not meet our criteria, your application will not be considered.

Next Steps
Once we have your Resume and supporting documents our team will review your application and make contact with you as soon as possible to confirm your suitability.
From there, your profile will go into a bank of available employees and our full client base will have access to your anonymous Resume.
All and any suitable job roles will be discussed with you and, if offered a job role, GR8 will apply for your 6-month work permit and assist you in arranging flights, to be repaid once you are here.
It’s as simple as that!
